We are having problems maintaining the water level in the Lagoon. Due to small tides this week we are unable pump water into the lagoon until Friday. At the moment we feel it is safe for kids and windsurfing activities but it is not suitable for adult dinghy sailing.

Obviously we are treating this as a matter of urgency. We will post updates here.

Good news - tides are getting better and we are pumping water in - yippee !! Bad news - Over the week the water has dropped further and it will still be very low on saturday , but hopefully better for Sunday.

Forecast is for light winds on Saturday so it should be good for all abilities on the sea. Of course we wil have full safety over as usual.l

Tides are good this week and we will be pumping when ever possible and we hope to get water to a reasonable level. However we are still losing water.

9th Sept - Tides are poor this week we cannot pump until Saturday - Forecast for weekend is N on sunday so should be great on sea - will be full safety cover. Sunday light s/se so again should be fine for all on sea. Rest of this week - ok for windsurfing at moment but please call , full safety on sea. Dinghy sailing on lagoon is not really an option all this week.

16 Sept - We are pumping on both day tides and night tides - big thankyou to James Stewart for the night shift ! Tides good this week so we should have more water in the Lagoon as the week goes on. Think you are getting the hang of it now - basically we can pump one week and not the next.

This weekend looks like we should have enough water for all activities.

The council are investigating the problem. More news when we have it

28th Sept - good week for pumping this week - the guys are coming in the middle of the night to pump to try and make sure there is water. So big thanks to the staff. Without their deadication coming in at 2 in the morning there would be a lot less days sailing available.

We have had one site meeting with the council and have another in mid October. Both us and the council are looking for solutions. Will keep you updated as we know more.

Nov 1st - we have now let the water out of the Lagoon so working with the council we can try and get a fix in place by the spring. In the mean time we are open for hire on the sea at the weekends until November 23rd.

Jan 5th -  What water there is is now frozen !! Latest news on repair work is that a team of "leak hunters" have been down made a study , identified some issues and are coming back in Jan. An application is being made for funds to pay for the repairs which we still hope to be done for the spring 2009.
